Star Trek: Released on DVD

“Star Trek” is a well done copy of the original Star Trek of the sixty’s.  Capt. Kirk (Chris Pine) has captured many on the nuances of the original actor (William Shatner) without being obvious about it.  Spock (Zachary Quinto) lives up to the original character played by Lenoard Nimoy, who, by the way, also appears in this film.

Fresh new faces play the old characters, and play them well; Chekov (Anton Yelchin), Uhura (Zoe Saldana), Scotty (Simon Pegg) and Sulu (John Cho). 

This film maintains the nature and character of the old Star Trek but with all the new technical effects used in a successful effort to create a space adventure swashbuckler. 

If you’re not a science fiction fan, then this is not for you.  If you’ve ever been a Star Trek fan (or even a Flash Gordon/Dr. Zarkoff fan) then be sure not to miss this one.
